Belgian filmmaker and artist Johan Grimonprez shows his ‘library’ annex encyclopaedia in The Unknown Mine Zone exhibition, where visitors can scroll through a computer and watch short films. This database exists of a varied selection of stories, anecdotes and ideas, perhaps when individually interpreted not very meaningful but when combined in the database narrate the probability of humans to live on earth and care for it rather than exhaust it. The route through the archive is a personal decision for each participant, and therefore becomes a determining factor for the individual interpretation.
